Climbing the Stelvio from Bormio
This climb leads for the most part through a beautiful gorge. High, steep cliffs and beautiful waterfalls take you to the top.
After a stretch from Bormio with several bends you reach a beautiful gorge. The surroundings are really beautiful. If you still have time to enjoy it, you will certainly do so here, in this beautiful landscape. Sometimes the roads are a little narrower and the road surface is wet in the tunnels.
After about 15 km you will come to a less steep stretch with an average gradient of 3-5% over a length of about 2 km. This is for recreation and preparation for the last few kilometers of this climb. Steeper routes with slopes of up to 11% lead to the top of this climb and also to the end of this beautiful GEMSE route.
